Bioforge
BioForge is an organization with a mission to create innovations and breakthroughs in the development and manufacturing of precision medicines. A wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Pittsburgh, founded in 2024, BioForge operates independently to bridge the gap between life science research and the scalable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions needed to speed delivery, use and impact. BioForge resources small, cross-disciplinary teams drawing on expertise across the life sciences, engineering, and physical sciences to take on high-impact challenges. Each project has a fixed duration, fixed budget, and is designed to operate with speed and agility toward a convincing demonstration of capability.
